Queen Desirée of Sweden did not own a tiara of ears of wheat. She had a lot of loose ears of wheat to put into her coiffure or to wear on her hats or on the dress.

Her granddaughter, Crown Princess Louisa of Denmark inherited most of them, but there are still ears of wheat in the Swedish collection.

Crown Princess Louisa also inherited ears of wheat jewels from her Dutch grandparents, Prince Henrik and Princess Luise of the Netherlands. They were along with other jewelry and movables registered in the Danish Royal family as "the Dutch Collection".

Crown Princess Louisa's third son, Prince Harald, inherited as part of his heirloom some ears of wheat from his mother. Those ears of wheats were around 1930 used by Prince Harald's wife, Princess Helena, to create a tiara. Six ears of wheats and a middle carmoised diamond.

All the heirs after Princess Helena and Prince Harald wanted the tiara (maybe not Prince Gorm, as he had no wife) wanted the tiara. So it was decided to dismount it into the brooches that originally had been used for the tiara. But it was also decided that it should not be done till after some years. It was deposited at Sorgenfri Palace some years - that is with Princess Caroline-Mathilde.
Therefore Count Oluf's wife, Dorris, Countess of Rosenborg could still use the tiara when the now Queen of Denmark 1967 married Prince Henrik. They divorsed later and the tiara did not have to be used as so.

Then the tiara were parted into 4 brooches: one for Princess Feodora, one for Princess Caroline-Mathilde, one for Prince Gorm and one for Count Oluf. The last two ears of wheats that were a little smaller than the four were given to the daughters of the third sister who had died before her mother, Countess Alexandrine-Louise Castell-Castell. The daughters are Baroness Alix zu Miller-Aichholz and Thyra Moes.

The middle stone was sold and so were probably some of the ears of wheat. Some were perhaps bought by Princess Feodora. I do not know what became of her tiara and what it was made of, but probably there were still loose ears of wheats in Princess Helena's possession. Perhaps!

Princess Caroline-Mathilde's brooch was used for the tiara given to Countess Anne-Dorte.

The small diamond bandeau given to Princess Elisabeth who has often lent the tiara to her niece Countess Josephine of Rosenborg, Princess Elisabeth had for her confirmation by her grandmother Queen Alexandrine who still lived at the time. Queen Alexandrine had got the tiara as a silver wedding present by her husband King Christian the Tenth in 1923. The tiara is small as it was designed to be worn in the forhead as was modern in the Gatsby 20ies. It was probably also made of ears of wheat that originally belonged to Queen Louisa.

Of course there are a lot of jewelry in the different royal houses that are made as ears of wheat. They were very popular from around 1820-40.
