i like it, so glad we can access the site again, hopefully you find a way it work like you want

So far so good! I like how it looks like the old site, it's comfy - feels like seeing an old friend :D

I have no idea about how to make it wiki-like.

The only "suggestion" I have is along the lines of there not being enough Utsuku content yet ;)

but will there ever be enough?

That depends...as long as we get some and do periodic updates and changes, then yeah, there will be enough ;)

in that case, i recommend a utsuku tracker, what is uts doing today, then we get a ton of content based on everyones favorite bothan

how about a Uts word count on the forums...

Ahhh...I'll start putting together some stuff for the submissions today - probably send late tonight or tomorrow...

When I still maintained a personal website I did that to myself for about two months - not taken seriously of course but all true (well, 85% true at least :P). I told what I had for breakfast and what the weather was when I left my house. It also had reviews of some things during my day, like when I reviewed 'eggs' and 'wind'. I stopped doing it when I saw the old site "timmybighands.com" (by a bunch of the MST3K guys) started doing the same thing with reviews and they were designed a lot better...often written funnier too :( ... I often think about doing it again if I ever get my website back up /sigh

And yeah, I'm not in the galaxy with as much urgency because there's no Ja in there. At least he's in the same room in RL though, so I'm often over there watching television or something while he works obsessively on that Zelda game :P

I would be glad to make a Ut's Daily Review page....that you can update.
Also, on a similar note, if you wanna write an additional anime review or whatever page, that would be cool...since I never get to watch as much stuff as I would like.

I have like 30 GB of server space and literally like 1500GB of monthly transfer so...........

I got distracted last night (reading Count of Monte Cristo - only 100 pages out of 1400+ to go :D ) and didn't get to pull together some bio material and pics and stuff, so it's still coming...

Anime you say? I'm drowning in the stuff. Most of my collection these days is fansubbed stuff that isn't available in the US yet - but I still see a lot that is available. I watch A LOT of anime. Currently I have the Fullmetal Alchemist movie to watch and in the middle of two series: "Maria-sama ga Miteru: Spring" (schoolgirl drama) and "Mobile Suit Gundam" (war/Mecha action - one of my all time favorites). I watch nearly anything - big exception are those "harem shows" like "Tenchi Muyo!", "Ah, My Goddess" and "Love Hina"...ok, I have not seen any "Love Hina" anime but the manga bugged me. With manga, I read mostly romance stories lately like "Mars" and "Tramps Like Us" (terrible retitling of a great series)... Oop, I got myself rating on again :rolleyes:

On anime, I love Mobile Suit stuff...
Have you ever read or seen any of the Battle Angel Alita stuff? I like that...and one of my all time favs is Record of the Lodoss Wars..

I did not like Slayers at all. I found it to be kind of goofy. The first Lodoss series was great! The TV series was very good though it occasionally lapsed into a few dull stretches...and it had TERRIBLE omake bits at the end (and I usually love omake! especially the Blue Seed ones :lol: )

Oh, we're not really off-topic at all on this since you included the "we're way off topic" comment. Seeing how about 67% of all threads here have a post saying "wow, we really know how to go off topic around here", I always thought that's how every thread was supposed to go anyway... :P

OK, well I guess you like so far, huh? Do you like the new color background or the old sanddune one?
Also, are you seeing the titles in a fancy kind of font? (wanna make sure it's a standard font and not something I only see)

I'm seeing eveything in a regular font except the titles of each page - is that how it's supposed to be? I like the background I'm seeing now, which is kind of sand dune-ish...or like a parchment texture that ripples like sand dunes. You also said on the page that you brought back the 'tatooine style buttons'...I see no buttons, just underlined links in black text.

And yeah the only diff font i use it on the titles of the pages

Nope...well...sort of. When I ues Firefox, I see nothing of the sort. If I use Internet Explorer I see orange circles but they are not lined up with the links :(

Still nothing on Firefox, except the orange circle that does appear in the "wooks" version with the fancy font...but none of the side ones. Internet Explorer shows most of the side bar ok now, except the bottom two (SPG & Wooks). Those are still not lined up properly for me.

Hey Cantel I like the Wooks with the yellow background font more then the other one

I like the one on the right. WooKs in the orange oval.

Of the two Wook buttons, I like the one with the orange oval in design but I like the font in the plain one more. Too bad they won't go together very well. :rolleyes:

i tried the news tab, and it wanted me to log in, and try to edit the news?

Yeah you login with your character name...then password "mirage". Once you do that you can add, edit or whatever.

I am just leaving it alone for now and letting you guys monkey with it. I have not found the wiki solution I am looking for, so those two pages are just experiments right now. The 2nd wiki I like, but I can't seem to modify if like the other one.

If anyone knows how to get a wiki going, please help.

Also, I would update the site, but no one has submitted anything. I am gonna write something on my editorial page & maybe scour the forums and SWG home site for some news...but other than that, not a whole lot to do to the site right now.

I really wish my life wasn't so complicated right now or I'd add some stuff there :(

One of the things I wanted from you Grey is a copy of the welcome letter and guild stats. Also, as an idea, we can do extended guild and town hall meetings via our chat room.

I am going to add your movies too, once I dig thru here and find it all. I am not in a rush to fluff up the site Grey, just don't want anyone to think it is dormant again.
