^_^ This is probably my second attempt (done last night) at writing a poem that rhymes... it's something I haven't been able to get out my mind for a few days now.

We took a stroll once, you and I,
With westward wind and floating sky.
You took my hand, and off we ran
To dance through trees. Like Eden’s man
You laughed, and called me to your side:
“The Sun, the Moon, my pretty bride,
I’ll give to thee, with all my love,”
You promised me, and turtle dove
Flew overhead and took the news
Of sweet embrace and souls that flew
From tree to tree, borne on the air
That played about your ruffled hair
And shone a twinkle in your eye
And from my lips provoked a sigh.
“I’ll have the Moon,” I told thee so,
“But leave the Sun to shine and grow.
For tree and leaf, and even you
Need Sun to live the way they do.”
So thus the Moon was mine that night
Whilst Sun lay hidden, out of sight.
And wherever floating sky may go,
The westward wind shall ever blow.
