when i bought GITS: stand alone complex V1, there was a trailer for an anime called Dead leaves. from what i saw the animation, well if you could even call it animation, was very, well, poor. it was in japanese so i had no idea what was going on. so has anyone heard of this 'anime' before? if so, what is it about?

It is an extremely violent aned over sexed OVA with little plot much violence and way to much sexual content for my taste.

The story is about an energy wielding dude with a tv for a head and a woman who really cares about nothing they kill a bunch of people (to get food and clothes as they wake up naked) and get sent to a prison called dead leaves

i think i might just buy it to see if its how worse it is than FLCL

FLCL in my mind is a brilliant show it has everything including one of the best soundtracks ever made this show on the other hand is nothing but a sorry excuse to show nudity and violence in anime a poor excuse for a show if I have ever seen one.

In the real world you are correct sir, when its animated I dont wanna see it, of course that is because i am not a pervert (from a technical standpoint as a person who does not deviate from the sexual norms of his/her socioty)

i take back what i said about FLCL being crap. its not. actually ive only ever seen the trailer so i cant say anything yet.

I see the obvious problem you just have not yet seen it. the show itself is wierd there is no doubt about it however, it is a tribute anime it makes fun of/ pays tribute to anime of all hspaes and sizes meanwhile carrying on some inane plot that somehow spawned into one of the greatest threads of story ever told.

With a soundtrack that will blow your mind and animation that will spin your head the show truly means nothing. It has little relevence and no deep seeded meaning in religion like evangelion, instead it more or less has its meaning in the shows it picks on and if you have seen the ones they pick on (Gundam, Lupin, DBZ, Akira, Stuff of tht nature) then you will understand what I mean.

i bought it today. and you were 100% right about the soundtrack, and them making fun of Gundam, that bit was funny. i was completely wrong about it. from now on i will never bag on an anime without seeing it. ill get dead leaves next week and see what its like.

I just watched this today, thought it was decent. The animation is really crazy and you dont see many others like it accept FLCL is kinda like it, like you said. If your looking for story line then FLCL is better, and really better altogether...

what was the soundtrack like, was it as good as FLCL?
