Ok since the other topic was closed ill continue what i was saying, i think yu yu is about lets see 100...no...1000...no....1,000,000 times better than Naruto.

Story - Yu Yu
Animation- Yu yu, good animation for more than 10 years ago.
Chars - This is impion but i say yu yu by FAR
comedy - Yu Yu
Tranlation - Can't say cuz havent seen naruto

So in the end yu yu is better in my opion, wat about all of u, goin to stay loyal to a old fashion Anime or a crapy new one? u pick.

Well for me at least this is a gimme, Yu Yu is not only one of my favorite shows but it is simply one of the best fighting shows ever made. Consider for a second the shear impact this show had a story where the main character dies 20 seconds into the show, nothing like this had been seen before. It was revolutionary.

The simple fact that there was a fighting anime in which the story came first and the fighting was second and a result of a well thought out story something we thought would never happen (at least not from the previous shows that had come out)

Over all Yu Yu Hakusho would demolish just about any other show let alone something like Naruto which is much like Yu YU Hakusho only not as good (in many aspects)

The shows are simmilar save one was done first, and one was done better in the aspects that matter. Yu Yu has a stronger story and a stronger musical score pushing it into the realm of great anime, Naruto I must say falls flat on this one.

I like Yu Yu but Naruto is more Famous

Who cares about famous, so is pokemon and it sucks, which one u like MORE WHICH ONE

well anyways I dont know a whole lot about yu yu because it isnt on my list of animes to try to get because I look for animation style, music, setting, genre and overall artistic value that I like. One thing I really like about naruto is how its based on a japanese fantasy/reality idea.. You know.. Chakra, Genjutsu, Ninjutsu, Taijutsu...

Oh music, i hate the music for all animes, mostly cuz itz all japanese and it annoyz me, but anyway i hear alot of ppl Love the yu yu songs, they catchy i guess, also yu yu animation startz out a bit low than picks up pretty good and when u get to senzuie it gets to be really nice animation. The story is pretty damn good for a fighting anime, some of the fight sceans are some of the nicest i have ever seen, setting is in japan, regular bad ass school kid yusuke, i am telling u 100% u will like the show.

Yu YU does not use mthology like Naruto does, at least not japanese mythos but it certainly devles into legend especily with the later episodes (and the entire spirit world idea)

Although the animation is dated and it is a fighting show it is one of the more story based fighting shows out there, a solid story and great action sequences make it a worht while watch however I wouldnt force it down, as you will obviously not like it then.

take it as a good anime and see from than on, dont expact the greatest, i think it is cuz itz my fav anime but i promise u it will be good if u like fighting.

Well I will check ou tthe first arc, it seems to be called The Spirit Detective Saga. I like alot of anime music, im even taking classes on learning conversational japanese because I like how it sounds alot.

Well u try it, tell me how u like, the first arc startz out so/so, dark tournament is one of the BEST tournaments in a anime, than after that it's more for the story but still has some nice fighting.

Japanese like latin is a half assed langauge that puts its verbs at the end of the sentence (making it dated and nearly obsolete) of course the fact that I have studeied Latin for so many years must show how much I truly appreciate useless languages.

yeah I didnt realize that at first. Because I learned alot of japanese from just watching alot of subbed anime, different words etc. But its gotten more interesting since this course and now that im actually putting it together. Learning to write it is still a long way off tho.

EVER.

I have yet to see Naruto though, so I guess my opnion is a little blind.But still, I lovs me some YYH ^______^

Like BlergityArg has stated, I've also yet to see this show, Naruto. So, I'm going to go with Yu Yu Hakusho at the moment.

It may all change, though, considering Naruto is going to air here in America in the near future. So, we'll see.

That's my two cents, anyway.
