^ummm... disregard that...i'm just a bit pissed off cos i just watched Eva again today...i still dont get the ending...
so...Akira...i still think the ending was great...even though some of my mates tell me different...

Eva ending is mad easy to understand, anyway ya it is a so/so movie nothing great just the animation.

the endings for Akira and Eva are similar in the fact that you either understand them, or you don't...i understand the ending for Akira, but not for Eva...

Eva has a hard ending to understand because the movie and series have completely different ending one took the cop out laughable almost corny ending (that I loved) the other took an ending that was religious based and hard to understand, I have studied various religions for a long time and even I dont fully comprehend all the undertones and minor shots at religion and non religious people that the show took. It is something that you kind of have to figure out for yourself it is like an acid trip mixed with getting high, almost like taking mushrooms with much stronger visual effects. GOD I LOVE THAT ENDING!

i must admit the ending to the series was pretty crazy, and visually was awesome...i liked the ending to the movies much better. i'll be pondering the meaning of series ending for many years to come. Rei running to school with the toast in her mouth...man that was funny...

Never seen the series ending but the movie, it's easy...Ok do u understand Death and rebirth? Ok well at the end it's him and the girl...He picks either death and kill her or rebirth, make a baby with her and start human kind again since EVERYONE died...understand?

the ending wasn't as dense as Eva...but it still took me a while to understand it...
