The Final fantasy & Metal Gear Solid Series are good, but Devil May Cry is best I rekon

Final Fanstasy is the the overall best choice out of all the options for this poll, in my opinion. Yeah there were some stinkers (ff8.....) but FF7 is the best game of all time, and 10 was pretty good too (although Tidus says "my old man" so many times it made me crazy).

Super Mario bros was my second choice.

FF8 DID NOT STINK, TAKE THAT BACK OR I'LL RUN YOU OVER IN THE BAT MOBILE IF THE BOSS'LL LET ME BORROW IT.

Look, you obviously really love FF8, and no matter what I say about it you will disagree. Thats fine, but if you look over this board it becomes glaringly obvious I really hate two things that come up on this board a lot, DBZ and Ff8.

I'll tell you why, but I don't wanna start a big thing, if you like ff8 thats fine, in some ways it was cool, but I think it was the worst FF game. Mainly because I think the characters in ff8 were horrible. Rinoa and Selphie are the most annoying characters of all time, 98% of the game Rinoa runs around acting like she likes Squall then saying she doesn't, then she does, UGH! Selphie is completely two dimensional she just runs around all the time acting all chipper and yelling "Booyaka" she is also completely useless in battle.

I like Zell and Irvine, but if you think about it they are also two dimensional. Zell is the spunky side kick through and through, he appears to lack complex emotions completely. Irvine is not really even in the story line that much, its unclear what hes really like. You also don't ever really get to know Seifer, hes just got this chip on his shoulder for no apparent reason and joins Edea also for no apparent reason. I only enjoy complex villians, not villians that are evil just cuz for noe explainable or probable reason.

By far the worst part of the story is the Edea thing. In the beginning I thought Edea was totally kick ass, but then she just turns back into the Matron and just stands at the orphanage for the rest of game, completely useless and a big let down on what could have been a strong and interesting female lead character. Don't even get me going on Cid, SOOOOO useless and his character is completely random and not developed at all.

I also thought the junctioning system was stupid and over complicated. I did like the music and graphics of this game though. My fav character was Quistis because she had some complexity to her, was great in battles, and was the only female character who wasn't completely aggravating.

^I get wat ur saying, and i hate when ppl say FF7 is worse then FF8, i mean they are idiots, 7 beatz it by a long shot, FF8 was so/so, not to bad not to good, 9 on the other hand is one of the shortest rpgs and worst i;ve ever played. FF10 was pretty goood. FF11 isnt rly a FF type but i like it.

I love Final Fantasy, but I gotta say the Super Mario series is my favorite of the listed. If the LOZ series had been listed I would've been harder pressed for a decision... :wacko:

Jak and dexter are defently some of the best games created.

I agree, especially Jak 2. It was long, it was difficult. just a fun and challenging game. the 3rd was a little short, and only slightly challenging. i've never even played the first.

1st sucked, 2 kicked ass and 3 was great but to short.

Well you and I see things similiar, although i haven't heard much of the first. i'll take your word for it.

1 is alot like crap...just play 2 and 3 again if u get bored or wait for JakX

My favorite Video game is FF7 (and the rest of'em.) The way I see it is, no other game really compares to FF. Though, the other games are great, its just no competition. I like playing all types of games, but I just think FF7 is one of the greatest.

Jak X?!?!?!?!?! What is this trickery? They said there would be No more Jaks.."The Epic Series awaits its end in Jak 3" what the heck?!

Jak X continues the story but in a racing game. Don't worry it aint the crappy racing in the 2nd and 3rd it looks mad fun.

HUGE map, you can do literally anything you want. Kill anyone, choose your jobs etc... did I mention that the map is huge x_x not counting the expansion ones.

I understand what emeraldartemis was saying, but you CAN discover the reasons behind Seifer's nastiness if you look hard enough. Rinoa is fine, but she is a bit over-emotional. Selphie's cute! Zell and Irvine are background characters, thats all. And Cid's funny! Edea wasn't as kickass as I thought, I agree on that score. So... really, i just think it takes a certain kind of person to be involved enough to understand it all properly. But i'm not saying you're silly, quite the contrary.

I'd say the Mario series. T'is a classic. And the FF games come in second. But only in my opinion. I like Sonic The Hedgehog though. n____n
