Title: I sprained my ankle. D':

Apollo - April 23, 2005 12:13 AM (GMT)
I was running home from the Anime rental store nearby, and while running, I tripped at the edge of the sidewalk while crossing the street. ANIME, WHY HATH THOU FORSAKEN ME?! D':

My right foot is now completely useless. I may as well just cut it off and serve it on a silver plate to some homeless man.

On with the topic. Have you ever sprained or broken any bones? Ever had any injuries? D: This is my first... And I'm taking it dramatically/horribly. D<

i sprained my ankle last friday because i was trying to get some food from my friend... well i was kinda borrowing her food and never really planning to return it....

I broke me arm in Year 2, i fell off the monkeybars at school...when i look back it seems pretty stupid, cos i went back to the school to have a look around, and the monkeybars are like 1.5 metres off the ground...wierd.

When i was year 14, i was mucking around in the back yard, spearing a basketball with a pitch fork, i went in for the kill, clutched the handle with both hands and stabbed the bball, it bounced off and swung around and went into me shin, about an inch, i didnt feel it though...wierd.

and 2 weeks ago i dropped a 25kg dumbbell on my foot, goddamn it hurt..i added a few new colourfull words to my vocabulary, no broken bones though...wierd.

Teru-chan - April 23, 2005 12:51 PM (GMT)

LOL!!!   I laughed so hard when I read that line!

I AM really sorry to hear you've sprained your ankle though. The worst injury I ever endured was also a sprain, but it was a huge ass sprain. It happened when I was a junior in high school and I was on a trampoline. Everyone assumes that means I injured it falling off the trampoline, but actually what happened was we had too many people on the tramp at the same time and so the surface was all wobbly and uneven from everyone jumping on it. When I landed my ankle literally bend up flush against my leg and a really loud pop was heard. It was sprained in 5 places, and the doctor said it would have been better if it had broken because then healing would have been easier. It took a really long time to heal 100%, and it sure didn't help that like a month later while is was still healing I resprained it when I missed a step walking down into my friend's basement.

As far as breaks go, I broke the same toe twice, the second to last one on my left foot. The second time was like month ago when I bashed it on my iron coffee table. Also I broke the center of my palm once, that took a long time to heal, luckily it was my left hand so I could still write.

And then finally I dislocated both shoulders when I played rugby, but thats not that bad, they usually go right back in by themselves. Whats weird about that though is when that happens your fingers won't stop shaking for like 10 minutes though because of the shock to the nerve endings in your arm.

Oh.

Oh my...

..I flinched/cringed while reading that. Just the thought of it.. Almost makes me fear trampolines.

Hybrid One - April 24, 2005 01:58 AM (GMT)
Well my trampoline nearly crushed me once. actually it nearly killed me 5 times!

emeraldartemis - April 24, 2005 04:24 AM (GMT)
Well it taught me a good lesson, one that I try to pass on to all; the danger in trampolines is not in falling off, its in landing on the uneven surface, its really easy to sprain or injure your ankles and knees. So be careful guys!
