Soldiers steal tank to buy vodka

Two Russian soldiers are in trouble after driving an armoured personnel carrier 40km to buy vodka.

They were caught after crashing through a fence into a used-car showroom, demolishing several vehicles, on the way back.

The soldiers took the armoured vehicle from their military base, near Yekaterinburg in Siberia, and drove it to the nearest town.

After finding vodka they started heading back to the base but their driving declined as they sampled their shopping.

They were arrested by police who caught up with them after the APC broke down.

What can I say? I find these stories, and feel the need to share them with people. D:

if they can take an armored car, it makes you think whether i'd be as easy to steal a Nuke.

Now this is a story I can relate to

Did you know that in russia Vodka (most of it the highest quality in the world) cost 1$ a liter, for those of you that dont know a fifth of good vodka in america is about 20-30$ and a fifth is less then a liter...

Also if anyone cares in Turkmanistan, A gallon of vodka (5 fifths or 4 liters) cost 1$ (american) and a pack of smokes cost...33 cents (gum cost the same as cigarettes)

So for 2$ you could get a half gallon of Vodka and 3 packs of smokes.

If I could, I'd make you my teacher.

I'd even put an apple and a shot of whiskey on your desk every day before class starts.

Wow what a crazy story!! Its even more crazy about how cheap vodka is in Russia and Turkmenistan, but I don't spend much money on Vodka anyway because I don't like it that much. But that said its very good with cranberry juice and in Salty Dogs (grapefuit juice and vodka with salted rim, guess my days in bar tending school weren't a waste even though I never got a job as a bartender, at least I know a lot of cool drinks now ). :lol:

so for $50 you could have one hell of a party.

Those soldiers are so.. cheap
