Its a weird story I began a few months ago... it was an... inspiration if you will...
Its not even CLOSE to being finished so bear with me and I might need to do a little tweaking.... but tell me what you think if anyone takes the time to read it all...
When she came to the horizon, it was almost dusk. The sun was setting and the stars we beginning to shine. She, however, could not see them, for the forest canopy was thick, high above her head. She kept walking, the cloak she wore hung on her shoulders, with the hood covering her head. Under the cloak she wore a long and elegant red-velvet dress. Her eyes were dark green, but were very gentle and soft around the edges. She had naturally fire-red hair with hints of black and gold integrated into the mix. She carried a large bow, about two-thirds of her height, and large arrows at the ready, both on her back. She walked alone, silently, but in fear that someone would attack her from behind. She turned around, her eyes glowing in the setting sun. Seeing no one, as always, she turns around and keeps walking. As night came slowly but steadily , she came across a small tavern with smoke rising from the makeshift chimney. She decided to enter the tavern, since there probably wouldn’t be much shelter for a good ten miles. She opened the door to find the tavern mostly empty. She finds another traveling soul sitting at the bar. The traveler looked up as she came through the door, not knowing what to do or say.
“Nice evening isn’t it?” the traveler asked.
“Yes, very much so,” she replied with her head lowered as she crossed the room.
“My name is Mystique,” the traveler bowed as the hooded figure came nearer.
“My name is Shina,” the figure said as she lowered her hood, “nice to meet you.”
Mystique was from a clan of wolf demons, so she had the eyes and the ears of a wolf. Her eyes, of course, were gold and ears, hair and tail were pure black. Though Mystique wasn’t a full wolf demon, she was pretty close in demon terms. All of her ancestors were full demons and the had full blooded children. Somewhere in the early years of her lineage, no one knows for sure or who it was, a full wolf demon married a human and had a half human half demon child. Later on, that child married a full blooded demon and that is how Mystique was still not all demon. Mystique has lots of wolven qualities but her human heritage showed a little in how she acted.
Shina, however, was a full demon through and through. But, she was a whole different kind of demon: Shina was a fox demon and a full one at that. The fire-red hair was a big give away because that meant all the fur on her body was red, including her ears and tail which she kept hidden quite well under her cloak. She wasn’t too proud of her lineage though any demon would be proud to bear the honor of being a full demon; this is why she hid her ears and tail so often. At that time, it was very rare and a deep honor to have full demon blood because they were all shot and killed by human men and their pelts were sold as seamless garments. Though she was disgusted with the men who had done this to her people, she wasn’t too happy about being one because that meant that they could find her at any time and at any place.
Shina sat down next to Mystique at the bar, looking around for a bar tender but found none.
“Don’t bother,” Mystique said, “he left quite a long time ago. Said I could stay if I tended the bar for him. So far you’re my only customer.” She got up and went behind the bar. “Do you want something?” Mystique asked.
“No, thank you Mystique, I don’t drink. I was just curious to see if there was a bar tender.”
Both demons heard the door open as Shina finished her sentence. Shina’s fox-like ears rotated in the direction of the sound and she turned around in her seat to find a shadowy figure. Human no doubt, Shina said in her mind as the figure shut the door. He was tall and slender; short, sleek black hair with a cape that covered half of his raw hide leather boots.
Im not surprised you've written something like that, considering what your Fav Anime is. lol. Its very good, so far.
