I been thinking of moving the Storm will anime message board to a new host, a host less #####y and faster, the problem is: do you want to move?

We been here since 2003, and I know moving won't be easy and since you guys are my members, my few members left, I was wondering if anyone was willing to prepare for moving, if I can find a new host.

I would appreciate your comments

InvisionFree is okay. but..all the other free hosts are..well...shite.

You must mean a whole new forum?

phpBB is really nice but ofcourse it requires alot of setting up and an actual host, (not the automatic one like invision free) but all that requires is finding a reliable free host that supports php and mysql databases. phpBB can have some really great modifications and all types of nice stuff.

I'm up for it. I've been on other boards that have Proboards,Phpbb,and several others. Some of them are nice and all...But hard as hell to set up at times

Ok, guys this is Pegasus idea, I'm just giving the shout. Building a Sailor moon forum would be nice, the only thing need are hosting plans and name and all that. but if a Sailor Moon forum would be built, would you all Join it?

Plans are if sucessful, I will merge it with Storm will.

I am opposed to this idea whole heartidly. This site is dying what needs to be done is not a merger it is a revamp. This sit has little to no content, but last time I checked it has something most forums do not have, that is members who actually have intelect and know how to have discussions in a calm and cool manner (in respect to many forums)

If you want this site to return to its former glory and perhaps beyond then creating an offbranch that is intended for ages far below the average user here is probably not wise.

From a personal standpoint I have got some time on my hands right now and depending on the next job i get i may just recreate this place, it would probably be for the best.

You do realize Sailor Moon has one of the strongest Fanbase on the net, and people of all ages watch it. It's one of the most sucessful Magical series in Japan.

Content? The Storm will problem is that Members think they can control the Administration decisions, like Tono and many others who tried to cross Pegasus decisions.

Non specific Anime message boards aren't just famous anymore, remenber this was founded on 2003 when Anime was the rush on the net, and now it's 2006 and tastes change. Specially when anime like Naruto, One piece, and bleach being licensed.

Recreate this place? You need Pegasus aproval for that, and he's still away dealing with his personal problems.

Have you ever wondered if maybe it wasn't a problem with the members, but a problem with the Administration? A bad leader makes rebellious followers.

We don't try to control the Admin's decisions. We try to reason with him and convince him to negotiate with us; help us come to a compromise we can all agree with. But when we do that, the Admin takes it as us "Trying to control his decisions", and when he does that, we resort to arguement instead of debate. We become mad and flustered.

Then ask for his approval. You seem close enough to him.

Bad decisions? The members like Tono, JoKaiba always wanted to do whatever the hell they wanted, and when they din't got them they resorted to try and take over storm will. Like Many before. Bad decision of Pegasus changing his Name to a chracther of a Japanese show? It's his ####ing board, it's his ####ing Username he could do whatever the ####in hell he wanted with his username, all of you were out of line, trying to change them.

and once Again, Times have changed, Tastes have changed, General Anime message boards aren't the taste anymore, Anime has kinda of died down.

Now as I was saying rather then caving at the first sign of trouble why dont you as an admin (not that the title means anything as you have NEVER done anything around here) get off your ass and remake the board oh but we need peggy's aproval. He hasnt been around in ages, he is gone for a long peroid of time and then comes back for a short while and then leaves so as far as I am concerned he cares little about the community.

nstead of blaming members blame yourself, it was our (well not mine as I wasnt in charge) that members rebelled, I did to because the admins here sucked. I do not post a whole lot because activity is down instead of switching to sailor moon up the content, make a site.

Anime boards are no longer popular because they are the same thing, every board is exactly the same however, we have members that have oppnions and intelect that is more then the average board can say. If you do not want me to recreate this board then I will do the simple thing and recreate AIE, I have enough time on my hands right now that I can easily create a site. I do not need to resort to merging to create an enviroment I just need the members of this board and others to add there own touches and taste.


Next time you make a retort know a few things, one choose your battles wisely, two always give your members what they want, they are the reasont hat this place is still alive. and lastly know that you and me as admins on a tiny board are expendable.

NGC is right. Sailor moon? Please no one here likes that but "You" Rider and Peggy. Everybody else is damn sure not liking it and i think it would be a very unwise descion.

We should try to stick to this forum and fix it up. If anyone is willing to even create a new board i'm down with it, i can't do much but i could try to help. Members on here are extremly good with conversation and we need that. So i say either revamp or create a new site. Maybe somone else be an admin? NGC?

Hey it's better than most of the crap you like, that hasn't lasted over 50 eps

Any person with any intelect would know that simply because a show last a long time that does not make it good, just because alot of people watch something does not make it good.

Just because the soap operas get high ratings that does not make them good, just because daytime tv gets high ratings that does not make it it wonderful televission, just because a show last for 10 years and stops being good after the first 2 does not make it good.

Most shows last 26 episodes because they follow whats known as a tv format where you air 13 episodes in a row (one a week) then re air them,, then air the next 13 episodes then re ari them (whats 13 +13 +13 +13? I will tell you its 52, what is that you ask? its the number of weeks in a year) ie one whole series over the course of a year its the optimal set up. all I can say is that any person that does not know how anime airs has no right to be an admin at an anime board. Also I unbanned elevate because your unfair of treament of members makes you look like an idiot I figured maybe I could help you out.

I do not know about anyone else but I have had quite enough of your bullshit I think its time to either move this or create a board for migration because your abuse of power and obvious ignorence is not helping this board grow at all.

well, lion if you wish to find some great free hosting(well, not exactly free) you could try mihopa....very good! i am using it to host my VB board, and its great, all you need to do is post lots in the forum and then request hosting from mike(mhphs) if you want it check out his home page for more info www.mihopa.net ( had to change because of domain problems with mihopa.com) but as i have said very good hosting ^_^
