Title: Peggy-Rider

Elevate - April 14, 2006 07:50 AM (GMT)
While Mr. Peggy Rider needs no introduction, I do want to state that Peggy's conclusions, while ideologically grounded in a rhetoric and practice of conformism, are surrounded by a cloak of secrecy and "plausible denial". Those readers of brittle disposition might do well to await a ride on the next emotionally indulgent transport; this one is scheduled nonstop over rocky roads. As soon as you're strapped in, I'll announce something to the effect of how every time Peggy utters or writes a statement that supports credentialism -- even indirectly -- it sends a message that the worst types of profligate airheads there are are more deserving of honor than our nation's war heroes. I obviously maintain we mustn't let him make such statements, partly because I cannot believe that he would consider acrimonious, obscene leeches as the most two-faced politicasters I've ever seen, but primarily because he will do everything in his power to make today's oppressiveness look like grade-school work compared to what he has planned for the future. No wonder corruption is endemic to our society; idle hands are the devil's tools. That's why Peggy spends his leisure time devising ever more snippy ways to raise extortionate demands. Peggy's idea of dastardly, malign militarism is no political belief. It is a fierce and burning gospel of hatred and intolerance, of murder and destruction, and the unloosing of a pudibund blood-lust. It is, in every sense, an improvident and pagan religion that incites its worshippers to a lewd frenzy and then prompts them to produce culturally degenerate films and tapes.

I have two words to say about Peggy's double standards: salacious poppycock. I'm not the first to mention that the central preconception in Peggy's paranoid style is the belief in the existence of a vast, impolitic, preternaturally effective international conspiratorial network designed to limit the terms of debate by declaring certain subjects beyond discussion. But you knew that already. So let me add that every concert that Peggy attends rapidly degenerates into a free-for-all of slam dancing and scattered fistfights. I don't think anyone questions that. But did you know that to him, acting like a pouty individual is a lot of fun? His ultimata have created a pompous universe devoid of logic and evidence. Only within this universe does it make sense to say that our elected officials should be available for purchase by special-interest groups. Only within this universe does it make sense to perpetuate the nonsense known technically as the analytic/synthetic dichotomy. And, only if we invite all the people who have been harmed by Peggy to continue to express and assert their concerns in a constructive and productive fashion can we destroy this garrulous, shiftless universe of Peggy's and redefine in practical terms the immutable ideals that have guided us from the beginning.

Having no desire to belabor this subject, I'll just say that in asserting that "the norm" shouldn't have to worry about how the exceptions feel, he demonstrates an astounding narrowness of vision. Peggy's smears represent a backward step of hundreds of years, a backward step into a chasm with no bottom save the endless darkness of death. What conclusion should we draw from Peggy's ethics? How about that Peggy is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others?

It is more than a purely historical question to ask, "How did Peggy's reign of terror start?" or even the more urgent question, "How might it end?". No, we must ask, "What is Peggy's secret agenda?" My answer is, as always, a model of clarity and the soul of wit: I don't know. However, I do know that it's quite easy for Peggy to bombastically declaim my proposals. But when is he going to provide an alternative proposal of his own? The answer may surprise you, especially when you consider that we must supply the missing ingredient that could stop the worldwide slide into Comstockism. Only then can a society free of his selfish stances blossom forth from the roots of the past. And only then will people come to understand that he insists that it's okay if his opuscula initially cause our quality of life to degrade because "sometime", "someone" will do "something" "somehow" to counteract that trend. This fraud, this lie, is just one among the thousands he perpetrates. That's a very important point; I've known some nymphomaniacs who were impressively headstrong. However, Peggy is lackluster, and that trumps headstrong every time. His prank phone calls are devoid of any intellectual substance. How much more illumination does that fact need before Peggy can grasp it? Assuming the answer is "a substantial amount", let me point out that every time Peggy tells his loyalists that people prefer "cultural integrity" and "multicultural sensitivity" to health, food, safety, and the opportunity to choose their own course through life, their eyes roll into the backs of their heads as they become mindless receptacles of unsubstantiated information, which they accept without question.

Many people think of Peggy's pretentious subliminal psywar campaigns as a joke, as something only half-serious. In fact, they're deadly serious. They're the tool by which deluded pissants will exercise control through indirect coercion or through psychological pressure or manipulation sooner or later. A second all-too-serious item is that Peggy's collaborators' thinking is fenced in by many constraints. Their minds are not free because they dare not be. Verily, Peggy should clarify his point so people like you and me can tell what the heck he's talking about. Without clarification, Peggy's rejoinders sound lofty and include some emotionally charged words but don't really seem to make any sense. To end this letter, I would like to make a bet with Mr. Peggy Rider. I will gladly give him a day's salary if he can prove that he does the things he does "for the children", as he insists. If Peggy is unable to prove that, then his end of the bargain is to step aside while I provide a positive, confident, and assertive vision of humanity's future and our role in it. So, do we have a bet, Peggy?

And if you really read all this, it's far to funny. This is a letter made by a computer program, funny #### eh?
