In many battle games, your odjective is not necessarily to annihilate the opponent, but to force them to surrender. The Kanji for "Surrender" is Kosan. This kanji is maded up of the Kanji for "Fall"(Ko) and the Kanji for "to be beaten" (san.)

Example:
Kaiba would be pleased to see his classmates surrender(or watch them take a beating.)
