I have already told you all that I came here from Norway. I have lived here since I came here in 1997. I met my husband online (he is born and raised here). We married a couple of weeks after I came here. I became a citizen here in 2003, and I am very proud of that. Doesn't mean that I don't love Norway or my family and friends there. I just felt it was the right thing for us to do. We had to go through the immigration process, and it is up to each individual whether to apply for a citizenship or not. At the ceremony they told us that we are as much of Americans as people born here. I try to keep that in mind if I see things in the everyday life that doesn't seem fair.
Norway is a very liberal country so I grew up listening to a lot of bad things about America. I was very liberal myself when I was young. I guess you get smarter and more conservative when you get older. :D
Just wanted to put my 2 cents in for how it is like to come here and then be a part of this country.

I appreciate you sharing that with us petmom. I didn't know that either. :)

:D We didn't know it either, until we started the process. :D
I have heard some people complain about the service from Immigration Officials, but I have nothing but good things to say about them.
:D
I am happy to here that petmom! I am so happy you are in this country and at this forum! :)
