Title: Tropical Storm Tammy-personal Thinking

Tropical storm Tammy
Forecast one

Tammy ties 1995 with 19th storm of the season. The system is centered just off Florida. Near Melbourne.

Tammy is a very large system...With a large cirulation/wind field shown on quickscat. The radar out of Miami shows a lopsided system. With most of its convection/moisture over the Eastern quad. The surface center/LLC is a very small system just off Melbourne florida, It is moving very slow but it is only centered less then 30 nmi off the coast.

The overall cirualtion western side is as far west as 85 west.

The hurricane models move it northwestward into Florida by 12 hours. The current movement is very slow into the northwest very slowly. So this system could fellow the coast up quite aways.

The ship because of the expected northwest movement, has it at its peak now. 35 knots...A slow weaking of the system is expected then after. With how organized the central core appears to be it could strengthing a little. In could strengthing more then shown if it stays off coast. Gfs shows a northwestward movement into Ga.

Forecast thinking is for a northwest movement. In a landfall could happen over the next 12 hours. Then a northwest movement.

24 30 mph
