Colorado digs out from heavy snowstorm 10/10/2005, 5:50 p.m. ET The Associated Press
(AP) — A powerful storm dumped up to 20 inches of heavy, wet snow Monday in Colorado, knocking out power and triggering rock slides.
Strong low pressure brought the snow and rain showers to the western two-thirds of the country. Southeastern Wyoming to northern New Mexico were also digging out from the early season storm.
Elsewhere, scattered light rain and isolated thunderstorms continued to dampen the eastern Tennessee Valley, Carolinas and Appalachians.
Areas of fog and mist cut visibility to less than a mile in some spots from the Great Lakes to the Gulf Coast.
Temperatures in the Lower 48 states Monday ranged from a low of 16 degrees in West Yellowstone, Mont., to a high of 90 in Vandenberg, Fla.

Yeah, with a possible polar shift, I am just sitting here wondering what this winter will bring. The weather has been so crazy. Patterns that have never before been seen are happening. Tropical cyclones twisting and turning in all different directions. Be interesting to see if Florida will get snow this year. :silly:
