I'll agree with ya there Kev,,, I wish I could find that IR image that showed the Eye just before Landfall.... It is a pic that is burned into my memory... ;)

I think all those NASA images are spectacular. Imagine how the crew on the International Space Station must be thinking when they look down on us?

It must be so awe inspiring that words just couldn't describe how they feel up there as observers.... I would spend hours just looking at the surface of our Blue Marble in Space... a)

Agreed. These types of canes don't happen too often.
Another photoblog for those who are interested (though I bet you've already seen this on Storm2k). These are close up and detailed instead of panned out.
