Title: Giant questions
Description: about the giant, not big questions

A couple of issues arose during play last weekend.
If a giant picks up a character and stuffs the character (or multi wound US 1 models) down his pants, do you get CR for the remaining wounds of the character? Sort of like Killing blow?
Units with the Ethereal rule, like the VC wraiths, can they be affected by the giant attacks?
Yell and Bawl seems obvious, they loose by 2, pop there goes a wraith.
How about pick up and.....??
Can giants stuff ethereal models into his pouch?
Can giants pick them up at all? And if so, if an ethereal is thrown back into the unit, will it damage its ethereal friends??

"Pick up and.." works for two reasons.
1) Ethereal means the model can't be wounded by non magical attacks; the giant isn't wounding models (e.g. for put in pouch) so ethereal offers no protection here.
2) The giant carrys one of those traps form Ghostbusters specificically for 'Pick up and stuff'ing ethereals.
As to pick up and throw I'd probably allow it to do damage when i play my wraiths. I don't have any real rule support for this other than it would be funny / it is a magic creature on magic creature collision so why not :D

As far as I would say the only Giant attack that effects etheareals is yell and bawl.

Well ethereal is worded "cannot be wounded except by spells and magical attacks" so I would argue that only yell & brawl is viable.
The question is not whether an ethereal creature would hurt another ethereal creature when thrown, the question is how does the giant pick it up.

The giant doesn't actually wound things by picking them up *.
Being removed from play is not the same as being wounded. Consequently pick up and eat/stuff/etc surely all work.
*sometimes the giant will wound things after picking them up, e.g. by throwing, but not all of the giants pick up attacks result in wounding.

Good luck putting a ghost in a bag :)
I think the wording is an oversight, or rather it was assumed that the intention would be obvious. I understand it to mean that ethereals can't be 'harmed' by non-magic rather than just 'wounded' in the narrow context.
In social games, I think the fluffy approach will win.

Fun trumps fluff.
I got a ghost in my pants!
