Title: A frenzy question

Lordy - July 27, 2009 11:16 PM (GMT)
If i gave a Saurus Scar Veteran the Carnosaur pendant and he causes a wound, he can never lose his frenzy even if beaten in combat.

What i would like to know is this.
Because he can't lose his frenzy i presume both he and the unit he is in would be immune to psychology.

Is that correct? and should his unit lose combat to an outnumbering fear causing enemy unit they wouldn't require to roll double 1's as the Scar Vet is immune to fear and terror due to frenzy.

Think i have it right? Can anyone confirm? im looking at you Decker!

Confirmed. If you don't lose frenzy, you don't lose immune to psychology and can't be auto-broken.

Thanks ya Decker, and tomorrow i shall challenge your Brute! (i have no fights left :P)

Really? The unit doesn't benefit from the Frenzy, does it, and thus wouldn't be ItP... Or have I yet again missed something?

Um just a quick point: I'm not sure if you meant it this way but an ItP character doesn't pass it on to his unit. So if he is in a non-ItP unit like Saurus he could still be autobroken, but by himself he'd be fine.

Oh....wait...I missed "unit" there and thought it was a scar vet on his own. In a unit, the unit wouldn't benefit from ItP so would autobreak. And in fact, the scar vet wouldn't benefit from ItP either.

Agreed - you don't pass on your "frenzy" abilities to the unit.

On the other hand, the one thing keeping the frenzy even if beaten in combat is also a terror causer so autobreaks canīt really happen anyway. Not by outnumber + fear at least.

Skinks on terradons don't cause terror! It's actually kind of a weird choice on a carnosaur (basically it makes it easier to get frenzy and makes it so you don't lose it as easily).

Lordy - July 28, 2009 08:14 AM (GMT)
Hmmm are we 100% on this then? If a character is ITP and your testing on his leadership then surely it shouldn't be auto break no?

decker_cky - July 28, 2009 08:16 AM (GMT)
He's not immune to psychology as long as he's joined to the unit.

Page 78, BRB. 127% certain of this.

Just put him on a cold one and get a dead hard character that's immune to psch.

Bah it is clearly written in the rule book  apologies for not checking.

Thank's for the help anyway :)
