Title: Wish me luck :)

ShaggothLord - August 28, 2009 09:25 PM (GMT)
Hey guys. Going to some sort of event thing at Games-Workshop, and I was told to bring 1k of Lizardmen. Now I know people are going to hate me for using this list, but I need to test out my dinosaurs some more. Here is my list.

Heroes:
Chief: Stegadon Lance, light armor, shield, ancient stegadon-384

Priest-diadem of power-90

Core:

15 Saurus Warriors-spears, standard, shield-198

13 Skinks-91

Special:
Stegadon-235

2 points left

998

I'm leaving in about 20 minutes but....thoughts?

Good luck anyway? Let us know what this event turned out to be. :)

Sadly it didn't happen, must've been some sort of confusion bewteen me and the worker, but I did sign up for a Campaign, and set down my marker capital, so i got that. :)

If it was the Bunker the event was at, I'm surprised that there was some confusion. There all great guys and all, and very organised for the most part, but it's gotta be hard to keep track when you get so many calls in a day.

And is it a Mighty Empires campaign? If it is, I give 2 pieces of advice:

1. Fortify before expansion. Especially if like 20+ people are involved, no matter how big the map is.

2. Change your army a lot as points get higher. Don't just build on top of your old list, because you'll probably end up playing against the same people a few times in the opening stages, and they'll figure out how you like to play your list, and from there, they'll figure out how to beat it.

On the list itself, it seems pretty good. I suggest dropping 5 Saurus and the spears to get some Skinks on the table. At small point games, unless they're a Dwarf or Ogre player, you're opponent isn't going to have enough heavily armored guys to protect them against all those javelins/blowpipes.

Yes it is a Might Empires Campaign, but I think I have enough shooting. 13 skinks, a bolt thrower, and an Ancient Stegadon all cover shooting very nicely. The Ancient Stegadon is practically 4D6 skinks, with the giant blowpipes.

I would wish you luck but you have betrayed the children of chaos for what? The original enemies of our gods! We shall invade your lands and bring ruin to your kind, and pick our teeth with the bones of Mazda-Mundi..... .....or was that Lord Kroak? Oh well.

GOOD LUCK! :P
