Losing Espo hurts the offense, but there's not a huge dropoff with Whitaker joining the team. With Frieb and Jyrkkio, the Kings get two important components for Kings GM Adrian's vision of his future team...

I give a lot to get Espo. However, in my team scheme (and I know it's not like any other team...) Espo is a legitimate 1st liner, Whitaker was a 2nd liner (I'm sure he'll do well on LA's 1st line though).
Espo has big shoes to fill has he directly replaces Kobasew.

Losing the two young guys hurt, particularly with the offers I got (thanks anyways Rafters :) ) however that is offset (by getting Espo!) by also getting what I was out for, i.e. a 3rd pairing dman who was a tad more offensive than Jyrk. No idea how it will turn out though.
