they are the one who is under koichi's rite
meaning that koi train, manage and produce them rite?
hikkie - October 5, 2006 04:39 AM (GMT)
oo they are koichi dancer ?? i saw them too at kinki kids anniversary concert !! i think they are johnny's new group  i watched them couple time at Shonen Club show...they have great dance and a little bit breakdance !!
kimurafan - October 5, 2006 06:19 AM (GMT)
I think they recently were in Naruto the musical too.
Celinity - October 6, 2006 06:35 AM (GMT)
hikkie, MA is actually not very new. From what I know, they have been around in Johnny Jrs since way back in 2000 when I started taking notice of Johnny's.
But unfortunately for them, even after being around for so long, they hadn't got their so called "big break" yet - debut. I think maybe its because their forte lies in dancing and not singing? Someone correct me if I'm wrong. But from the time I got to know them, I knew them by "the group that can dance very very well." I'm glad KK took notice of their talents and made them sort of like their permanent backdancers after KATTUN debuted and got really popular and busy to continue backdancing for KK. Again, correct me if I got this part wrong. But yea, undeniably, MA is very talented in dancing. Singing wise, I can't comment cos' I haven't really got a chance to hear them sing.
ororo_munroe - October 6, 2006 07:08 AM (GMT)
my thoughts about MA is similar to you Celinity
I always consider MA as a dancing unit and a very good one that is...
to me they have great body lingo and backflip...
they appear to be the constant backdancer for KK..
sometimes they appear in shounen club...
but that's all about I know about them
poch05 - October 6, 2006 10:26 AM (GMT)
yup, they're not really new.. they've been around for a while but haven't really debuted... and as what you guys mentioned, their strong point has been dancing.
I like Tsuyoshi among them. haha
elysia - November 23, 2006 02:59 PM (GMT)
MA!!! LOL!!!
I realise I have to push up this thread... even though I foresee only myself screaming about them.
I was fortunate enough that the first KK con I went I have MA as the backdancers, and they were such superb dancers. No other boys in JE (I swear!) can do backflips like Yonehana, or be a choreographer like Yara, or be bullied yet loved more than Akiyama or be more of a Koichi fangirl like Machida. LOL!!
With that, I think I should share what I wrote in my blog some months back. Something really touching that Machida wrote in his own Jweb dated 3rd Sep 2006.
Koichi-kun’s solo concert rehearsal is progressing smoothly at the moment.
We have already started the confirmation of movements and procedure, etc.
At the same time, my relation with Koichi-san is progressing smoothly as well. m(__)m
Some time ago, during the rehearsal break, Koichi-kun was explaining a very difficult F1 book to Akki, I also joined in the conversation going "I see!", "Eh… wonderful~" even when I understand nothing.
When Koichi-kun is talking to Yone regarding some PC stuff, I joined in their conversation again even when I had no idea what’s going on, (indeed) quite smoothly. m(__)m
When I was changing, Koichi-san said to me "Machida, you are so dark~"
“Ahh, it’s good that I went to the beach” I thought, and I spend everyday in high spirits.
For someone as cute as me, if not for something that Koichi-kun said at that time, I think most probably I won’t be continuing this job.
It was a summer when I was still in my teens, a time when I was backdancing for both KinKi Kids and V6 concerts. Before KinKi Kids concert, I was having V6 concert rehearsal. At that time, I wasn’t selected for the regional concert performances for V6. There is no way I can be satisfied with the fact that that member is chosen, so I went to the choreography teacher and asked "Why can’t I make it?" The answer was "Machida, work hard".
I really like dancing that’s why I worked hard, there are guys who slacked their way through among the members too. I could not understand the reason and shut myself up in the toilet crying alone.
When KinKi Kids concert ended that night, I was called by the president to the rehearsal studio. A couple of staff and Koichi-kun were present. Somehow it felt like they had just talked about KinKi Kids concert.
And I don’t know where Koichi-kun heard it from, but he said "Machida is working hard."
"I have just spoken to Koichi, and I think so too", said the president.
At that time, I never had the experience of speaking to Koichi-kun, but he took note of me, plus the fact that he said that about me, I cried on the spot.
And the next day, I was selected to be part of the member for the regional concert and worked hard for it.
Most probably, if at that time Koichi-kun didn’t say that, I wouldn’t be selected, neither will I be present in front of all of you like now.
Koichi-kun probably just said that casually, or probably doesn’t even remember this old matter, but to me, it is something I am really grateful for, and something precious I can’t forget all the while.
What I’ve just said I don’t think I have even mentioned it at work.
It’s too embarrassing to keep crying. m(__)m
Please keep this a secret. (>_<)
Yes! Wonderful senior! I have liked Koichi-kun ever since that time (smile)
There is this deep memory (T_T)
To be involved as the back-dancer again is something I am happy about, and I will work hard to repay (Koichi-kun’s kindness) m(__)m
… but immediately muscle ache (T_T)
I will work hard to let Koichi-kun’s fans think that "It’s great to have MA back-dancing for Koichi-kun"!!
I always thought Machida is a silly Koichi fangirl, but after reading this, we know there is a history behind. And I always feel proud having MA as the backdancers for Koichi or KinKi Kids. They can never be replaced!! The prince's 4 shiny knights~~~ (and babysitters sometimes) :P
I was just scanning thru' the 400th show fandub for ENDLESS SHOCK this year, and they each shared a little speech at the end, mostly saying that it is an honour for them to be able to join Koichi on this stage, and whenever it is necessary, they will be there to support Koichi always, to back him up as they always did... and hearing all that, Koichi's response later in his speech was to him, MA is not backing him up or what, they share the same stage so they are equal. It's the Nth time I have heard this, but MA has always been strong mental support for Koichi given their long term collaboration on the SHOCK stage. I'm glad Koichi found himself such trustworthy buddies.
MA, entrust Koichi-kun to you guys, I think all of us feel safe? (except for dangerous Machida who is always thinking of ways to get closer to Koichi) But really thank you for all the support these years. :love4:

Thank you, Elysia, for sharing that J-web entry. You know, when I first read it at your blog, I didn't know all the names of the MA dancers yet except Aki's and kept wondering who was this girl Elysia kept writing about that Koichi took notice. So now, with a name to the face, I finally understood.
I think Koichi would be very lonely without MA at his solo concert. Tsuyoshi has his guitarists and back up singers, but Koichi need princely guardians!!!

aphryn - November 25, 2006 04:37 AM (GMT)
wow, pictures of Koichi and MA in a mag spread - i havne't seen these before.. besides his concert/shock ones.. thanks!
what a detailed and touching JWeb entry Machida wrote with regards to how he got so far in life and with his respect for Koichi. I'd be touched and crying myself :\ and it seems like I'm also respecting MA so much more these days because I can truly see that despite the company not seemingly giving them enough screentime as 'idols', they're burning up the stage with their acting, singing AND dancing :)
kimurafan - November 26, 2006 06:30 AM (GMT)
elysia - November 26, 2006 12:05 PM (GMT)
Something taken out from Akiyama's old Jweb message... dated one year back, when MA was busy with their musical, FAME. (AH! The restaged play will have its last show tonight... I wish I can see them... :( )
Just as what the other MA have written, a lot of seniors came to watch our musical. But for today (last show), Koichi came to watch!! Thanks to Koichi, Machida went into a weird tension... to an extent that I can't use words to express.
Koichi is probably really busy now, every day sleeping time only 30 mins, yet he didn't fall asleep (during the show), concentrated and enjoyed the show, I'm really very happy.
On top of that, really unbelieveable!!
It must be because he really has no time, so after the show, he can't drop by our dressing rooms but went back straight... but he took the trouble to mail each member of MA!
Oh no~ I was really thankful when I received (the mail).
Of course, Machida-kun also received Koichi's mail. And his reaction at that time is something that I think all of you better don't know, it's something I can't use words to express.
The mail contents, I'm sure everyone is curious to know, but I'll keep it a secret :love7:
Really thank you! Koichi-kun!!
Another evidence to show Koichi really loves these boys... :love4:

Yara will be part of the 7-person 1-day special unit for Johnny's Countdown Concert 2006-2007 this time!
The others in the group include:-
Sakamoto (V6), MatsuJun, Ninomiya (Arashi), Ueda, Nakamaru (KAT-TUN), Maruyama (Kanjani8).
http://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/hl?a=20061221-00000028-sph-entI'm so glad they didn't forget Yara is a "piggie" too!! (born in Year of the Boar)
elysia
kimurafan - December 30, 2006 07:58 PM (GMT)
Elysia, are all the other members all piggies too?
Btw, this is the first time I have downloaded SC Premium with a bit of MA in it. Nice! I think Aki lost weight. :dance1: :dance1: I don't want him to be too huge!
(Also my first time listening to Mr. Travelling Man by TOKIO member I think Tatsuya? I didn't know Joshima Shigeru could play piano! :faint: Arggh I need to watch more TOKIO stuff! Why does that vocalist sing like Nagase? Shouting sort of... :P :P )
elysia - December 31, 2006 06:34 AM (GMT)
Sandra,
Yara is the only piggie. LOL! He's the baby in MA, the youngest.. the others are all older... I think Machida should be the oldest (since they call them Leader), I know Akiyama is 26 and Yonehana is 24... Yara is 23 now, going 24 in Feb 2007.
And Shonen Club premium is the only programme that features MA segment, with their dance collaboration map. Maybe you can try to get your hands on the very 1st episode, coz there is an interview done with MA.
And before more people get misleaded, I think I better say this. Sandra!! The episode you dled with that someone singing Mr. Travelling Man is Shibutani Subaru (Kanjani8), and the person who played the piano is Kokubun Taichi (TOKIO). :faint: And yes, Subaru sings a bit like Nagase in that song. :love4:
elysia
kimurafan - December 31, 2006 07:43 AM (GMT)
That is really Taichi? I thought it was Taichi in the beginning but the ending shot, he looked like that Shigeru....I don't know them well to differentiate them since I don't follow them.
Edit: Oh...I see it on youtube.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nL4UCDmDLHINagase is actually the main vocalist for this song??? :faint: :faint: :faint: Haha...I definitely like the Nagase-TOKIO version!!!
You know, this is really the first time I have noticed that everyone of them play an instrument seriously. I like the drummer.
And now that I have watched a couple of Nagase's MV's...hahaha....he does match Koichi very well.
Ah...a certain roughness and bakaness with a kiddish happy one. Nice match. Sigh...
You know, I was watching Ayumi Hamasaki's CNN TalkAsia English interview and she speaks pretty decent English conversing individually by herself. Ah, Ayumi and Nagase are a good match too!
kimurafan - January 14, 2007 08:19 AM (GMT)
I was watching Johnny's Countdown and I don't understand what is the purpose of the temporary group.
Did they just come out to greet everyone in this temporary arrangement or would they be performing later in the year?
Yara's black flip was impressive.
Out of the KK performance of that night, I was glad MA was there for them. On the nth time watching, I was watching them dance instead of the main characters. Sigh...
Their black costume with gold shirt and accented trims. Compared to Kinki, MA were smarter. KK seemed to have haphazardly put on strips of red here and there looking like they came out of a war zone barely to hurry on stage to perform and why couldn't Tsuyoshi wear a red or black beaver hat instead of a blue one. KK gets my vote for wearing the ugliest costume this year, on par with Nagase black and white long sleeve T-shirt and Taichi's tasteless white T-shirt inside a red jacket. NEWS' bundle of gold scraps is just as bad.
I also wished they did without the female dancers. It's so distracting to have so many dancers and squashed MA together. When you have the best, you don't need extraneous dancers. And I want to
:shoot1: the cameraman for always zooming into their facce. I want to see them dance. Baka! Not the mic in the face!
And why did most groups get to change clothes and KK just took off their top layer? :yikes2: That's not fair!!!
Oh, this is off topic...but according to the girls in the Rain thread, Rain is rumored to like one of his dancers who of course get to travel with him. So...she gets to be touched on stage like no other in their dance routine and slapped etc... and my thoughts turn quickly to Koichi.
Perhaps, perhaps,....if we see Koichi constantly pair himself with some female dancer in close contact...perhaps...   Elysia, have you noticed any in particular yet?
elysia - January 14, 2007 09:49 AM (GMT)
Sandra,
Neither did I understand the CD con this time. To me, it's a total flop... as a KinKi fan. Of course, there are some other fans of other groups who are very pleased with the higher degree of appearance from their fav group.
The special unit of that day is meaningless to me as well. If not for the backflip Yara did, I can't even understand what the group is there for. And they actually forgot the existence of Kazama (the last boy to be introduced) and didn't mentioned him in the news article beforehand. :faint:
CD con is always done after KK got their 31st con, so it is usually exceptional tiring for the boys I guess. Usually at most they did was 2 clothes change, that's all. But this time, they made it even more convenient to just take off the jacket. I don't even like the costume in the first place, if not for the NxK pics I see later which made Koichi look soooo feminine. And I think only people with good figures can wear such androgynous clothes design.
The female dancers are the same people for KK con, so I guess they just joined in... It's funny to see MA doing those hand signs for HoD song though. Like erm.. MA = acrobatic group, don't ask them to do such gentle moves!! I keep laughing at Yonehana esp. but you know I adore him (with his new hairstyle) so much now. :kiss3:
Regarding your OT question, erm... so far I have never seen Koichi flirting with female dancers (if I were to put it this way). MA (esp. Yara) flirts with the female dancers though. *hits* The most Koichi did was high-five with one of them during H con when they were singing Destination, but he does the same thing for all 5 shows back then. Others if you say in close contact will be when he's performing Waga Aishiki Diva and maybe Love and Loneliness... these 2 "spanish" songs, but then those are all part of the dance choreography. If you want impromptu acts from Koichi, I think he will refrain himself from touching the girls... he directed all those "energy" to MA though, esp. Akiyama... :ph43r: LOL! I think if ever he really flirts with a female dancer, the dancer won't live to see the next day. LOL!! *kidding*

duotiger51 - January 15, 2007 03:09 AM (GMT)
 Yeah, I agree. As a KK fan the CD concert this year sucked in terms of KinKi air time.
I feel like complaining tonight so if it's alright....
*rolls eyes* In my opinion they need to get rid of the female dancers all together. Unless they're necessary for whatever reason, well then fine I guess. But honestly, I want to watch the concert of THE GROUP I'm interested in. I don't care for a bunch of female dancers getting in the way.
When did they decide that this was such a brilliant idea for KinKi anyway? And why? There weren't female dancers for the F concert (if I remember correctly....) so why now?
Rei - January 25, 2007 11:23 AM (GMT)
I am so slow in noticing this thread! Oh my goddd Elysia,I never knew about the history why Machida is such a fan of Koichi!!!! *cries* I went teary reading it. :touched: Machida!*hugs*

After what Koichi wrote in
KinToMA... MA and Toma got a really nice surprise and wrote their responses too... (I will just add Toma's message here as well.)
070216 PM 09:50 Machida Shingo
He came~~~!!!
Koichi-san came!!!
Wow~ \(~0~)/♪
I will be Koichi-san’s thumb!!
Banzai! Banzai! Banzai!070217 AM 09:10 Ikuta Toma
He came!!
The Prince came!! ( ・∀ ・)
I was about to answer Akki’s question when Prince Koichi came!!
The other day I was telling Koichi-kun,
“MA and I are doing this series together, so please write anything you like too.”
And he promptly replied, “Okay.”
At that time, I said, “No matter it’s F1 or what, just write anything will be fine.”
Even though he said, “I got it. Then I’ll write passionately about why F1 race so fast,” didn’t he write something really serious and moreover long!?
Damn, I’m so happy. We managed to cross the barrier of Johnny’s Web. (smile)
Let’s work hard till the end! Thank you, Zachou!070217 AM 10:27 Yara Tomoyuki
Great~~~
Something fantastic occurred!
Brother Koichi gave his comment on this “KinToMA”…… (^^;;;)
Thank you♪ Thank you♪
He even told us how he spent his off-day even though it was still work.
Plus it was 3 recordings (XoX)
You have worked hard.
Actually I witnessed Koichi-kun doing something on his phone while doing his stretching. This never happened in the past, (Ah, Yonehana-san did something like that before. (smile)) so I was thinking what was he doing by myself. I didn’t expect for the sake of this KinToMA, he sacrificed his precious stretching time to write for us……
Thank you♪ Thank you♪070217 PM 10:44 Yonehana Tsuyoshi
YEAH♪
I can’t believe the mysterious man was Koichi-kun. Plus to write for “KinToMA”, thank you!! Some time ago when we all went out for meals, we told Koichi-kun it is okay to write something, but the truth is Koichi-kun’s so-called off-day is not exactly a rest day for him, so I thought it’s rather impossible for him to write. (^^; ) Plus he wrote a long message.
For sure, I think Koichi-kun had a lot of injuries that are not considered injuries. (--; ) But it’s only him who will say that, those are REALLY injuries. (XoX) To think that those injuries are nothing and continue standing on stage, I think Koichi-kun is really amazing.
What he mentioned about his thumb too, during that time when I asked, “Are you okay?” “I’m fine, cause this kind is not an injury!” certainly he said that but he bled quite a lot. However, no matter what happens, Koichi-kun will stand on the stage!! Seriously, he’s amazing!! I need to learn from him. (^^; )
That’s why for the remaining shows, I will give my best to support Koichi-kun. Koichi-kun! Thanks for writing!!!!!!!!!!!!070218 AM 01:05 Akiyama Jun
Oh yeah!
He came, he came!
Koichi-kun came!!!
He came without even updating his own site!!! (smile)
Damn, I’m so happy!
You really came!
Thank you thank you.
And, how’s your thumb~?
From what I saw, it didn’t seem serious, so for the time being, I feel relieved. For the stage, it doesn’t seem to have any problems. Thumb, it’s really important. Because we use our thumbs a lot for various things in our private life. Compared to the stage, I think maybe it is more inconvenient in the private life.
Please recover quickly~.
If there is anything troubling you, please tell us.
We’ll fly to you straightaway. I mean Machida.
Bye! (smile)elysia

Oh, now I understand why it has a different title in these translations. These guys have a joint J-web that each have to contribute to? Is it only for the SHOCK crew? Is this the only combination Koichi is writing for?
Thank you for the translation, Elysia!!! They are really excited.
So Koichi is recording for 3 songs??? Does it mean a full album from himself or for Kinki Kids coming up soon???? Arrrgghhh! We need another album from Koichi soon!!!
xhakkaxcandyx - February 23, 2007 01:52 AM (GMT)
they sound like a bunch of fan girls~ lol it's so cute how they're so excited.
Machida really loves Koichi. :squint: I can almost see him dancing around the room with joy.
To me it seemed like he didn't think that Koichi would write about something other then F1.
Was Yara staring at Koichi while he was streatching? :ph43r: haha He takes notice to small things.
Yonehana sounds like the little brother looking up to big brother. ^-^ I hope to learn from Koichi's strength too.
I like Akiyama's the best "If there is anything troubling you, please tell us.
We’ll fly to you straightaway. I mean Machida." lol He made it clear that Machida will take care of Koichi the fastest for us fans.
Thanks Elysia for the translation :D
elysia - February 24, 2007 02:38 AM (GMT)
Sandra,
KinToMA is a joint Jweb thought by Toma for this limited SHOCK period... it's only for Toma and MA to write questions for each other.. sort of a relay kind of message writing for each other. But Koichi suddenly "interrupted" w/o informing them, so causing much surprise to them. I guess after SHOCK is over, MA will return to their own Jweb corner... Koichi has his own SMGO corner... Toma not very sure, coz he usually has this kind of "limited period" Jweb corner... Just yesterday (I think?) Machida wrote that he wants to start a new corner, called something like "Koichi x Machida dokidoki pictorial diary exchange" *faint* We all know how *great* Koichi can draw... :laughing1: But I hope this "dream" of Machida will be realised!
The 3 recordings actually referred to the Domoto Brothers show recording... coz KinKi usually get together once every 2 weeks in the studio to record 3 episodes of the show at one go. So for these 2 months of Endless SHOCK, every off-day Koichi gets, he will be recording for Domoto Brothers... Seriously no rest for him... :ph43r:

I don't usually get to read MA magazine interviews~~~ Will browse thru' when I got the time. But I'm shocked to see their hairstyles! I suppose this interview + photo shoot is taken last year!? Coz Yonehana and Yara's hair is different... if not, it'll be that they change their hairstyle right after SHOCK ends. *shocked* But can't be... Yara doesn't even look like that in Dec 06... that's his hairstyle in Oct 06... *ahh~~ confused* How can they use such old photos for a March 07 issue!?

This is totally old news but since it hasn't been posted yet...
Musical Academy has the stage to themselvesFri, February 16, 2007 (6:05pm EST)
The four-member Johnny's Jr. unit Musical Academy will star in a play called "Survival Island." The production is an adaptation of the British play "Neville's Island" written by Tim Firth. It is a comedy about four salarymen who get shipwrecked on an uninhabited island. This will be the first time that Musical Academy appears in a play with no other cast members.
"Survival Island" will run from May 11 to May 21 at the Sunshine Theatre in Tokyo. Afterwards, it will make a short run (June 1-3) at the Hyogo Performing Arts Center.

yay thx for sharing the great news kimurafan!
finally they have some spotlight for themselves.. old man johnny just doesn't want to debut them :ph43r: a musical eh? are they following koichi's footsteps?
elysia - April 30, 2007 03:02 PM (GMT)
Sandra,
Thanks for sharing the piece of news infor. I only vaguely read about the play being an adapted one. Some weeks ago, MA did a radio drama on the story too. I read bits on it, and was absolutely stunned by some contents... like Yara killed his own mother. :ph43r: Somehow from the contents I read it gave me a really dark feeling, but it's meant to be a comedy?! I can't wait to read fan reviews on it. It's starting next Friday. Wish for the nth time I can go see MA doing a pure play!!
fluffy,
It's not a musical... just solely acting... no dance, no music, no singing. I can't say they are following Koichi's footsteps, coz MA has been acting in stageplays for a long time. They have tons of experience in all these plays, musicals besides Koichi's SHOCK. But this is the first time they are performing as cast by themselves and no other actors/actresses involved, so it will be quite a challenge. I hope the ticket sales will be good. They had sold out tickets and audience standing at their last show for NARUTO last year. :kiss3:

The question was addressed to Aki: We heard that you and Kinki's Koichi have such a good relationship that you could carry him like a princess. Please tell us what kind of relationship is this?
Aki: Koichi san is my prince too.
Host: So Aki carries Koichi?
Aki: Yes, the person who does the carrying is me! Very often, at encores and some lively moments, I would think like this - I'll lift you up.
Host: Was this arranged ahead of time? Or was it a very natural act?
Aki: It's very natural. Because of the mood at that moment.
Host: So you would want to lift Koichi up?
Aki: Besides, he's very lifth.
Host: Could it be that you were husband and wife in the previous life? Why would you lift someone up suddenly? (Host pretends to carry the princess action.)
It was understood through the Japanese fans that only Shingo could understand the feelings of Aki. Everyone else just said, "Ah."
