Finally the friendship talk is being realised! The relationship of the two started before the forming of TOKIO and KinKi Kids. Don't we often encounter this in class? Even though I have many friends, the one who could be said to be close are not many. Tokio members don't talk much. Since moving to Tokyo, I haven't really made any close friends but the one that is really close is Koichi? Why? Our personality is exact opposite. (laugh) Perhaps it's because of this, it's better?

But because basically we both are very innocent, we often say, "let it be/forget it", and our worries end there. (laughs)

Just like that when we are together, we don't care about the other parts, that's not bad? As long as we are together, we would feel very relaxed and would not have other anxieties. Perhaps it's because Tsuyoshi is dead sick. I think he skipped the last line in 2 refrains and could hardly link the words as he sang because he has a cold. So perhaps they had to leave early and be as far as away from others as possible.

Did you watch the whole show, Elysia? Where was Koichi sitting? I heard that he didn't sit with Tsuyoshi.

The reason they are compatible

Both who have grown up together since the teenage years.
In the midst of jokes and laughter, even during the interview, the respect and trust for each other is portrayed.
Here's the report of the two on their thoughts of each other and the superb relay talk.

From Nagase Tomoya to Domoto Koichi
One who can reset me by wiping away the dust and dirt on my body

For human beings, it is not a matter of thinking "Let's become good friends". It's like animals will sense the smell on each other and think "Ah... this fellow ok..." kind of feeling. It is an instinct. With Koichi, we met in this manner, and we just hit it off naturally. Frankly speaking, it's too natural until I can't really remember the details.

Not as member, not as family, from the day we met till today, we have spent a long time together. Generally, like what we bought, what new games, no matter how silly the things I did, Koichi will definitely accept everything. That's why it made me more high! *laugh* If he's a guy who will ask "What are you doing?" coolly, I will not show my true self too.

It's the same for everyone, everyday as we see and hear all kinds of things, the dirt that we can't see with our eyes will stick to our bodies. Koichi will remove all the dust and dirt and clean it. It's not anything in particular that he will do, but just by having meals together, I will be reset. The only presence of Koichi there will make me return to myself. To me, Koichi is such an existence.

From Domoto Koichi to Nagase Tomoya
Instead of words, one who's more of action, showing the feeling, and not expecting any rewards

I first met Nagase at the dormitory about 13 years ago. Though we were both teenagers at that time, that feeling when we first met links us till today. It is ok if we don't pay attention to each other when we are together, that makes me feel at ease totally.

Nagase will behave in a way that I will definitely not, and that is what is interesting. For instance, when he came to my house, he would let the toilet door open as it is and do it. Although I couldn't see everything from the living room, he remained cool about it. When I see that, even though I will shout "Hey you! Close the door!", it's this kind of impossible behaviour that I like a lot. *laugh* Even when he's so big and manly, he still has the child in him, as a person, I think that's really good. This kind of child-like character, from the past till now, it has not changed at all.

Even though I feel awkward as you ask me to talk about Nagase, in the midst of long-term relationship, there is one thing I can never forget. I had some troubles at that time, and after I talked about it casually, Nagase did something for me. It really saved me. I was saved. Nagase, by doing that, is a person who shows his feelings by taking action instead of just saying words. In addition, with regards to that, he didn't expect any rewards. Although that was 2 years ago, Nagase doesn't seem to have any idea of it. In a way, that is what Nagase is like too.

Q1. What do you guys do, do you hang out?
Koichi: If we are free, we'll call and ask "Want to go for dinner?"
Nagase: There are times when we will just bid goodbye after the meal. Or do nothing at each other's house.
Koichi: It's ok even if we don't talk about a lot of things.
Nagase: When I go to Koichi's house, usually I will beg him " Play the Biohazard game for me~" Because it's scary for me to play by myself, so it's best to watch Koichi from the back as he is playing.
Koichi: You ah, hide behind my back and go "Dangerous... It's coming!" So noisy. *laugh*
Nagase: "It's al--right, alright", Koichi is always calm right~ *impressed*

Q2. If you have to compare each other with a colour?
Nagase: ...... Colour....... So difficult.......
Koichi: Will feel troubled right.
Nagase: In a way... how should I put it...
Koichi: It's too neat.
Nagase: Yes yes! This kind of really neat way of thinking, we can't do it!
Koichi: It's a kind of relationship that we can't think in this way.

Q3: What to do if either of you sprain your foot in the middle of a marathon?
Nagase: If Koichi falls, I will rest with him there, or carry him on my back and dash towards the goal.
Koichi: Carry me on your back! *laugh* If it's Nagase, he looks like he will do that. I will say "Don't care about me, you go ahead".
Nagase: Ah, I can understand. If I fall, I will say "Don't come back!" to Koichi.
Koichi: I hate to get my partner into trouble due to my fault.
Nagase: Isn't that what is friendship between guys? In a way, guys' friendship is stronger than love!

Q4: What will happen if both of you are stranded on a no-man's island?
Nagase: I will go hunt for food right away.
Koichi: I also think Nagase will do that. Then I will make our living space. By the way, when we go for yakiniku, Nagase will say "Yaki, I like".
Nagase: Yes, I will advise "It's now, Now!" *laugh* I want to share the same feelings.
Koichi: Generally, compared to myself, Nagase is considered active, thus to follow him is interesting. But previously, both of us are not that "action" kind of people? That's bad? Turning old uncles?

Q5: If you were to produce each other?
Koichi: To bring the true Nagase to life. Among the big, wide image, because he has a very adorable side, that's where something could be possible.
Nagase: I will let Koichi do whatever he likes. Let go!
Koichi: That's not produce. *laugh*
Nagase: We are in the same world, moreover in the same company, Koichi is doing stageplays that I don't do, it becomes a stimulus.
Koichi: Even though we are doing different work, we share many similar standpoints.
Nagase: Although we talk about work too, from on now we will continue with "normal guys' conversation", surely.

I like Matchy too. Waiting for BT in the US to show up to that SMAP show too. All smappies are kind of incapacitated at the moment to download and upload.

The earliest repair finishes on Jan 20 on the cables to the US. Can you imagine, we still can't call Asia by phone after so many days and all smappies in Asia can't use the US upload space and all smappies in US can't download from Asia. :faint:

I was really surprised to find this thread~ I thought it's only me making up weird pairings again, I had no idea they're actually this close! First, it was the 2002/03 Countdown where these two were interacting with each other since the very beginning, and I thought that they look really cute together :squint: then Nagase was the one to wish Koichi happy birthday when the New Year had begun... 2006 it was if I'm not mistaken :) and then I was watching an old Domoto Kyoudai episode with Nagase as a guest, and seeing Nagase as the first thing walking up to Koichi and wrapping his arm around him I came to a conviction there must be something going on :lol:

Thanks for giving some attention to them! LOL!! They are the only "recognised" couple to me in JE... unless there can be some other pairs who can be so cute as them. (ok, Takitsuba is really cute too) There are just too many tale-telling signs between the two. It's always fun to spot more~~ :lol:

Koichi mentioned about the characteristics he look for in a "best friend", and in any case, it's just about being "compatible"... a "congenial friend"... and he was asked to give some people's names as examples... During the MC, they showed photos of the boys playing 大貧民. Apparently Koichi phoned to MA's room, asking them to hurry up. (anxious boy to start the game, but MA got to shower first!) But MA's room only has one shower room so they had to take turns.

Koichi: 2 of you can enter at the same time right.
MA: Eh~~~ Usually guys won't enter together.
Koichi: Why? It's alright... all guys what.
Akiyama: Koichi will enter with Tsuyoshi?
Koichi: I don't enter with Tsuyoshi.
Akiyama: Then with who?
Koichi: ... it's a secret.
Akiyama: With Nagase?
Koichi: It's better not to enter with him. That guy's a pervert. He will come close.

Knowing Koichi is starting to say outrageous things, MA panicked and tried to stop him.

MA: Koichi, it's kinda ... to talk about such things on the stage, we'll hear from you in the dressing room.
Koichi: When I'm (did action of shampoo-ing his hair) washing my hair, I need to be careful.

MA stopped him immediately.

Just a silly question : what does mean MA and MC ? :dunno:

MA is the acronymn for Music Academy, the four artists who are background dancers for Koichi's concert and Endless Shock. There is a thread of MA right here at the Kinki Kids section.

MC is master of ceremony and also used generally for the talk portion of the concert.
