The story greatly resembles 3 Nen B Gumi Kimpachi-sensei with some stereotypical characters tacked on. There's the hardheaded father figure, who is a ramen shop chef, his tough school teacher daughter, Motoko, who hates Sakuragi, and an estranged older sister, who dad has disowned. Dad is renting out the estranged sister's old room to Sakuragi. Motoko and Sentaro's colleague, Onodera, has a huge Oedipus complex.

I'm uploading the making of this series. Brief summary.

Tsuyoshi looked forward to working with the comedian actor (who played Yuko’s father).
T: I often use Kansai dialect to speak with him. And he would respond similarly and he seemed to be my father.

So at once, Tsuysohi tried to learn motorbike. He stopped and said, how fast was I going? It’s better if I used bike rather than motorbike. I’ve never rode on a motorbike before.

Tsuyoshi practiced hard.

T in room and look at pix and said she’s really pretty. Outside he delivered the boy to sister.

Sister: It wouldn’t be bad if I have development with this teacher (Tsuyoshi)

Filming the running portion.
T: Look at the kids, they are already tired, that’s because they ran too fast.

Yuko filmed her portion.

T laughed at teacher: Look, he’s like a piranha.

The kids ran towards teacher.

T: Full of energy.

Yuko cleaned up the grounds herself.

For the theme song, hey genki desu, T: It’s a very genki song, hopefully everyone would stand up taller after listening to it to jive with the show.

Teacher asked if that’s T’s impression of him. T drew exhaust powering off him.

Teacher: Why do you always draw things so small?
T shows a few pix. Notice the tadpole. Then the eye.
Teacher: Not that big. Why can’t I see a complete pix.

T show old man his rendition of old man in city.
Old man: why helicopter?
T: It’s just there. Because you are so tall.
Old man: it’s easy to tell.

Yuko in a sugar to look for bugs. Very long.

Yuko look at teacher pix, teacher laughed at 120 mph.

These photos would be shown in episode 6.

Yuko laughed at the piece stuck on his finger in the pix. T: it was like that in the photo. It’s my turn now.

Yuko and T often fought whenever they are together on screen. T: You don’t have a boyfriend, do you?
Old man: that’s right.
T: I knew it.

T in the last bit explained that Yuko’s character, he feels this woman is very slow. She plays a stubborn person going by the book and mistreats him but could it be the development of love that she is conflicted.

the oedipus complex teacher is a fren of tsuyo if i'm not mistaken
three of them seems to be in a good relationship after the drama as yuko mentioned they keep on sending sms and go out together after that... in DK episode where she is the guest...

Btw I LOVE this drama absolutely!!! First of all, all the kids are so cute and funny! It's fun to see the kids bickering around. Plus they are so cute (again~) and they have really good acting skills..This is one of the big plus points for this drama.

And it's refreshing to see Tsuyoshi and Takeuchi acting together. Tsuyoshi's kansai accent is so strong in this drama!

Does tomodachi mean friends? He sang it at a 2006 December 25 concert? If that is the one, I think I have a crappy copy.

Isn't this a Kinki Kids song? It's not in any of their albums or singles?

I think Tomodachi and Namidakun Sayonara are tsuyoshi's solos for this drama. There's a tune in my head now, but I'm not sure whether it is tomodachi or namidakun sayonara or...?? Is there a soundtrack for this drama?

I don't know if it has an OST or not, unfortunately. I looked through the Chinese sites and it didn't seem to show.

but according to wikipedia the songs tomodachi appear in episode 3 and 6
while namidakun appear in episode 4
