Title: Koichi Domoto Or Lelouch Lamperouge?
Description: Are they alike?

Hello everybody!!!
After a month and a half, I have something to tell you…

I was looking for information about “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion”; all its anime characters have been designed by the Clamp group.

In general, the design is beautiful, soft lines and bright colors and shadows; and of course a good story, not as well clamp’s ones but, really interesting.

However, the point that caught my attention was wikipedia’s file about this anime and its characters. In the profile of Lelouch, it appears an explanation about the inspiration used to design him. It is said that Clamp and the producer team searched a model of “cold- beautiful-intelligent guy” for Lelouch.
And here, I read an amazing line, which relates KinKi Kids and Tackey & Tsubasa as a possible stereotype!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you think? Who of these four guys has all the requirements needed to be the handsome and evil protagonist of an anime design by Clamp?

In my personal opinion I think that Tsuyo-Kun is not the “cold guy” stereotype, Tackey and Tsubasa neither. So the only possibility that we have to create an archetype is… Kochan.

I’m not saying that Kochan is an ice-heart guy, but he is a good thinker, intelligent, self-confident and of course, handsome!!!!!!!!!
He has all the qualities needed to be an archetype useful for Lelouch.

In terms of personality; I can say anything; I’m not an expert like Sigmund Freud when I have to analyze anime characters, but I have to say that this “information/rumor” made me think about Koichi’s performances in the anime field.

I know that wikipedia is not a “very reliable” source of information, but maybe some of you could check these data in order to clarify the influence of Kochan on Lamperouge.
(Honestly, I want to see Koichi working as seiiyu again; for the moment Jun Fukuyama’s work as the voice of Lamperouge is really good)

Please, could anybody check this and tell us soon?

Also check Lelouch hair style, it is similar (similar not the same) to Kochan hair style; but I doubt about this point, because Lelouch and Kamui Shirou, from X/1999 (another Clamp work) are really alike.

Well, you have the final decision…
See you soon.

well I dont know about all that but Light in Deathnote is a ringer for Koichi! the guy who wrote remote had Koichi in mind all along when he did the manga

So you think that Lelouch could be inspired by Koichi? For a while when I look at the trailers, he looked like Tsubasa but in the manga, he looks a bit like Koichi.

Interesting find.

Here are more info about the series.

I haven't read the manga but i've seen the anime... and Lelouch was not totally cold-hearted... he really cared for his sister ...I think rather than cold I would say reserved and true to his purpose...to the point where he would sacrifice close friends....

Thinking about it though ....Lelouch most makes me think of Tackey's character in Taiyou no Kisetsu/Season of the Sun...

Though it is hard to say what any of them are really like... especially when they acting... to what extent are they similiar to their characters... and how much do these characters ...like Koichi's in remote really reflect what he's like versus how people want to see him... for me it's interesting that Koichi has this colder stereotype because I first came to know of him through Sushi Oji... which almost the opposite...

y do ppl think Koichi is cold hearted? or am I missing something here in the discussion?

I think whatever Wiki said means that the exterior appearance of Koichi could portray a cold hearted guy.

In all his drama, he wasn't cold hearted at all except Remote but in the end, he warmed up.

In real life, I doubt if he is cold hearted. He's very intelligent and perhaps some would think that set him apart from all others.
