Once the brightest student Hogwarts had ever seen, Tom Riddle immersed himself in the Dark Arts, transforming into the formidable Lord Voldemort. His reign of power spread like wildfire, and those troubling times had people fearful for their lives and those of their family and friends. The wizarding world plunged into darkness, for many people, wizard and muggle alike were killed, either by Lord Voldemort himself, or his henchmen, a group known as the Death Eaters.

With nothing to stop them, it continued for many a day, until�the prophecy was made. The prophecy that would save the wizarding world. The contents of said prophecy is known by very few, for it is a guarded weapon.

One year after the prophecy was made, Lord Voldemort made his choice. Based on what, no one knew, but it was rumored that the Potter boy was the one. Acting on this information and wary of a spy within the Order, Albus Dumbledore suggested the Fidelius Charm, to send the Potters into hiding. A last minute change of secret keepers had Peter Pettigrew bearing the location of the Potters, instead of the planned Sirius Black. In the name of strategy, Sirius had suggested a change, for Peter was the least obvious person.

Irony had it that Peter was the spy, the one who betrayed their whereabouts to Lord Voldemort, the one who would help Harry Potter defeat Lord Voldemort. The story is legend, and out of the three Potters, two survived. One barely, and the other with naught but a scar.

James Potter only managed a recovery after two years, and his son was forever then marked as the Chosen One. Life had to go on, and another two years later, James remarried, to a woman named Marcela. Life had started, and the wizarding world was stabilized once again.

Alas, things didn�t stay that way for long. In Harry�s seventh year, 16 years after Voldemort�s downfall, his supporters remained loyal to him. They kidnapped the boy, using his blood to resurrect Voldemort�s body, creating a corporeal Lord Voldemort once more. It was with intense bravery, marvelous skill and a whole bunch of luck that Harry managed to barely escape.

Within months, Voldemort launched attack after attack, bringing down the wizarding world to its knees. Hogwarts defenses were tested thin, and every student above and in their sixth year fought to defend what was right. With Harry Potter once again the main target, Dumbledore forced him away with portkey, infuriating the boy who wanted to fight.

That day marked a significant date in the wizarding world. The loss of a great leader, of a mentor, a friend, and the Headmaster of Britain�s most brilliant school. Hogwarts was nothing more but a cemetery for all those who gave their lives for the cause of good, rubble of stone for the broken souls who wondered them.

The Order of the Phoenix had lost its leader, and was renamed the Flight of the Phoenix, after the election of Ginny Weasley as the head. The Chosen One�s fate was destined, but the girl who stood beside him chose hers. Ginny swore revenge, and with the entire FotP behind her, provides all the support Harry Potter will need, in the quest he that he will face at last alone.

This is that journey; the second war has now begun�
