i dont really have much faith in the whole M&G thing, i have pretty much the worst luck in the world when it comes to contests so i kinda just stay away, plus lately ive been lacking on my JM knowledge.

i met him back in 05 and that sorta set me for life. if another chance comes up that'd be friggin amazing but, like i said, my luck isnt that great lol..

You should get an email about 2 weeks before your show...it will give you a time to log on to L-83. In the contest section there will be an icon on which to click which will take you directly to the trivia contest.

You have to answer 10 questions...a few are audio so make sure your player is up to date and I actually opened mine before the trivia started so there wouldn't be any lag time.

It wasn't hard but it was stressful since you have to be one of the quickest and accurate to win. They will call you about 2 hours after the end of the contest if you won.

OH! Important...if they say be there at 3, for example, be there exactly at 3 b/c the link disappears right after it starts!

im not a member of them anymore, i never got any better seats than before i joined.. and better seats was the only reason i joined so i just didnt renew it.

I know, I keep thinking about when I saw him a week before Continuum came out...of course I had learned every song already, and every one he played off the "new" cd was like opening a Christmas gift.

i need to vent and i figured my own thread would be the good place to do it...

im just.. really bored with my life.
i mean, other than my boyfriend whom i love, i cant seem to figure out just want i want.
im just so stressed with school. im in my last quarter before i get my diplomia, and i really just feel like quitting now. i mean the projects they make us do in a week is ridiculious. they amount of work im expected to do and the bar they hold you to in fashion school is so high, and i just am not sure if im cut out for a fashion designer's world. but the thing is, if i dont go for a designer career, i have no idea what else i would want to do.
i guess its cause i never had a plan B. i figured i'd be a fashion designer and thats all. but i never figured out what i would go into if i didnt want it...
so im kinda stuck now. everyone expects me to get a designer job. when i just want anything else since school is wearing me out and i feel like i have no creative energy left...

meh. so yeah its all bad..

so how is everyone else?

Aw, Hil, hang in there! You're so close! I think it's natural to feel this way, after all, you've devoted a lot of time and effort to it and suddenly you feel like, wow, maybe this isn't what I really wanted. Maybe a break, even for a day, will bring you back refreshed. Maybe be inspired by visiting an art museum, or just relax at the beach and regroup and refresh your energy.

Everyone needs a little time away from time to time. It's what stimulates new ideas, creativity, dreams. :)

sigh. yeah.. youre right.. i know you are. but gaaaawwwwd i need a break longer than 3 weeks lol...

meh, not much is up here actually. just been working like a mad woman to get my collections done for school. one month from today exactly and i'll be free! with my A.A. in fashion design of course lol..
but yeah other than that ive been a really boring person. all i do is homework!
oh and going to clubs in the city on weekends, but that's to be expected :lol:

In the land of Trace, things are busy as well! Julie starts high school (eek, I know!) next week and I think I am more nervous than she is at this point! We got a puppy, which is running me ragged, but I am trying to make it work since the kids absolutely adore her.

I am sad about Mayer...the TMZ clip almost made me weep. He seemed like a broken man, a little off kilter and un John like. I am still quite shocked he "went public" with the breakup thing.

But, I am glad the second leg of the tour is starting back up again. Hopefully he'll make some outstanding music out of all of this!

you know whats funny. my brother jsut got a pup too, i think i take care of it more than he does though lol.. its a pure pitbull though! hes seriously the sweetest thing ever so i dont think he'll be one of the mean ones you hear about on the news. it all depends on how you raise them.

I know, Mayer is kinda weirding me out by being so open about it. I havent watched any TMZ clips but from the other reports ive been reading, he seems really down lately.. and youre right, i think he needs to hop back into his tour and continue doing what he does best.

haha i hope all is going well.. high school is rather intense.. as are puppies lol.
im slowly but surely getting my portfolio all finalized. ill definitely put up pics when im all done. i swear this thing is like my baby. after 6 months and countless all-nighters to get it done, all i wanna do is show my work off! lol

2 weeks til im a college grad though. its kinda daunting. ive been wanting this for so long but now that im almost at the end of the road, i have no clue where to go next! <_<

I worked one day in a fashion company drawing clothes like that and I couldn't do it. Squashed my life-long dream of being a fashion designer LOL. Thats ok I like web design better :lol:

D, i know what ya mean. i dont even know if i wanna do this anymore, im just tryin to finish school meanwhile find a job i actually want to work out.. so far no luck, ill probably just take a sales retail job to start out with til i figure out what i really wanna do with the rest of my life lol..

You don't have to do retail! There's alot of jobs in fashion even in graphic design, if you look in the media section at craig's list. I find them all the time in there, it seems popular at least here in Montreal...

blah. i knowwwww i really dont wanna work retail again, especially now that holiday season is coming up (ewwww)

its just hard cause im so not cut out for a life of being on a computer for 20 hours a day. now that everything is done by adobe illustrator or photoshop.. thats all ive been doing for 2 years! im so tired of it.
im trying to look for a fashion illustrator job, where i sketch and everyone else makes it lol... unfortunately i dont think thats an entry level job.. <_<
